Cat Fountain Refill Filters, 6-Pack

Six fresh filters and two pre-filter sponges for the Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain.

A fountain's filter does the quiet work: it catches the fur, food bits and debris that would otherwise circulate in the water. After a couple of weeks it has done its share and the water starts to show it. Swapping it is the one bit of upkeep the fountain asks for.

Each filter is a layered pad of cotton, activated carbon and ion-exchange resin, the same type that comes in the fountain's box. The two foam sponges sit in front of the pump and catch the larger debris before it gets there.

How long a pack lasts

Change the filter every two weeks, at the same time as you rinse the bowl and brush out the pump. Six filters is about three months. Swap a sponge when it no longer rinses clean.

Will these fit?

They are made for the 2.5L (84oz) stainless steel fountain we sell. They are not a universal filter, so check the shape against yours before ordering for a different fountain.

What they will not do

They will not stand in for cleaning: a fresh filter in a fountain that hasn't been rinsed is still a dirty fountain. And they are a fur-and-debris filter, not a water treatment system.
