Charcoal Odor Bags, 3-Pack

For the car that smells of dog, gym bag or yesterday's coffee.

Most car fresheners work by adding a stronger smell on top of the one you have. These do the opposite. Each bag is a fabric pouch of activated bamboo charcoal, a material full of tiny pores that odor molecules and moisture cling to. Nothing is sprayed and nothing is scented; the bags simply take in what's in the air around them.

Put one under a front seat, one in the back, and one in the trunk or the dog's travel spot. They also work in a gym bag, a shoe cupboard or a closet, anywhere small and enclosed.

Making them last

Once a month or so, lay the bags in direct sun for a couple of hours. The sun drives off the moisture and odor they've taken in, and they go back to work. Kept that way, a set lasts a long time.

What they will not do

They are slow and quiet, not instant. Give them a few days in a closed car before you judge them. They won't overpower a strong smell at its source: a spill in the carpet needs cleaning first, and then the bags deal with what's left. And they don't add a scent, so if you want the car to smell of something, this isn't that.
