For the morning the engine clicks instead of starting.
A flat battery usually means waiting on someone with cables, or a tow truck. This is a small lithium pack that lives in the glovebox and starts the car on its own: clip the clamps onto the battery, switch the pack on, turn the key. Then unclip and drive.
The same box is a tire pump. Screw the hose onto the valve, set the pressure on the screen and press start. It stops by itself when the tire reaches the number you set, and remembers that number for next time. It reads in PSI, BAR, kPa or kg/cm², goes up to 150 PSI, and comes with adapters for bikes, balls and inflatables.
What else it does
It charges a phone over USB, and the built-in light has steady, flashing and SOS modes for a roadside stop after dark.
Keeping it ready
A jump starter only helps if it's charged. Top it up every month or two, and again after each use. Cold drains any battery faster, so check it more often in winter, and don't leave it sitting in a car parked in extreme heat.
What it will not do
It can't rescue a battery that is failing. If the car needs a jump every morning, the battery or alternator needs a mechanic. It won't start a car that has a fault other than a flat battery. Read the manual before the first use and connect the clamps in the order it gives. And it isn't a puncture repair: it puts air back into a slow leak so you can get somewhere, but it doesn't fix the leak.
