The 200ml reservoir suits one room rather than an open plan. There is a timer, and it shuts off by itself when the water runs out. Remote included.

It is quiet. Not silent — you will hear the water if the room is completely still — but quiet enough to run overnight beside you.

Before you use oils around animals

Worth knowing, because almost nobody selling these says it: cats cannot process many of the compounds in common essential oils. They lack an enzyme most mammals use to break down phenols and terpenes, so tea tree, citrus, pine, eucalyptus, peppermint, cinnamon and wintergreen are all best avoided in a home with a cat — and a diffuser running in a closed room is exactly the exposure that causes trouble.

If you have a cat, run it only in a room the cat can leave, keep the door open, and ask your vet before using anything on that list. It works perfectly well with water alone if you just want the humidity and the light.

What it will not do

It does not purify or filter air, and it does not treat anything. It adds moisture and scent to a room. That is a pleasant thing for a room to have, and it is all we will tell you it does.
