Suction Magnetic Phone Mount

For the phone that slides off the seat at the first turn.

Vent clips sag under a heavy phone and block the air. Sticky dashboard pads give up in the first hot week. This mount holds by suction instead: press the base flat onto the dashboard or windscreen and flip the lever, and it pulls a vacuum against the surface. Flip the lever back and it lifts off cleanly, with no residue.

The phone attaches by magnet. A magnetic phone, or a phone in a magnetic case, snaps on with one hand and comes off with a pull. The head turns on a ball joint, so you can set it upright for calls or sideways for maps, and angle it toward the driver.

Where it sticks

Smooth, flat, non-porous surfaces: glass, glossy plastic, painted trim. Wipe the spot clean and dry first. Heavily textured or leather-covered dashboards won't hold suction well, so on those, use the windscreen.

Will my phone work?

It needs a magnetic back: a phone with a built-in magnet ring, or any phone in a magnetic case. A phone without one won't hold unless you add a magnetic ring or case.

What it will not do

Suction loosens over time on any mount, and faster in big swings of heat and cold. If it starts to sag, lift it, wipe the pad and the surface, and press it down again. Check the rules where you drive before mounting anything on the windscreen; some states limit where it can go.
